Getting into it

After one and a half months, we have started feeling more and more settled. We still don't know where we will live after mid-August though, but I have a few words to write about that at the end of this post.

First, let's talk about ministry. That is why we are here right?

Ray just had a meeting today about the bible school he is going to lead. Before I start talking about it from my perspective (which was taking a nap with Nolan), let's just do it like this: I will ask him a few questions and let him answer:

Me: What did you all talk about today?

Ray: Uuuuhhhhhmmmmm, setting up logistics for the school.

Me: What's the plan?

Ray: Uuuuuhhhhhhhm, first of all: registering it with YWAM's university system aka "University of the Nations".

Me: And then?

Ray: *silence.... . Setting dates and schedule. Then recruiting staff and promoting the school to recruit students. And inviting guest speakers.

Me: How often will you meet as a team now?

Ray: Right now about once a week.

Me: Will you be busy the rest of the week (Or can you take care of Nolan so I can get a spa day)?

Ray: Apparently yes.

Me: Yes what?

Ray: Taking care of Nolan, so you can get a spa day.

Me: Cool, thanks! (We need more support!)

Fun by the side (because we Germans don't do fun). There is finally something starting. The school won't start until April, but there is a lot to plan and organize.

We went to a mega-church in the area yesterday. It was, mega. We talked to some staff and found out that they are working with pregnant women. I looked it up and discovered it is a group that meets once a week for pregnant women. More like a life group. Thinking about it inspired me to reach out to other ministries in the area and volunteer. This way we can be part of the community and don't just do our own thing. YWAM Minneapolis wants to support other groups. I did some more research about pregnancy ministries in Minneapolis and will reach out and see how I can be involved and how we can also support them as a group.

Now about our housing situation: We are still living in one room with our own bathroom. It is comfortable but we realize more and more how much we need our own apartment as a family. We don't have enough income yet to afford rent. But we heard some stories from other YWAM staff that gave us hope that God will take care of us as well. A couple got a beautiful apartment in a private house of an older Lady who only wants money for the utilities and some help in her house. Or another couple only has to pay as much rent as they can becuse the landlord loves missionaries. We don't know yet what our miracle will look like, but I am really excited and can't wait to see it.

We see how God is taking care of us already. We got a few things for Nolan for free. Things that would be usually quite expensive. People are generous here in Minneapolis.

If you are supporting us already: Thank you so much! May you be blessed with everything you need.

If you are not supporting us: Thank you so much for being interested in what we are doing (since you are obviously still reading). May you be blessed with everything you need.

If you want to support us as a family, you can do that right here: Fund Donation (ywamtyler.org)
